Donna Wise, SCA

Is a self taught artist living and working in Toronto.

”I am inspired by architecture, astronomy, music and art history.

My paintings and collages combine geometric systems, textures and intense colours with contradictory ideas and forms.

As an elected member of The Society of Canadian Artists, I paint in the tradition of abstract expressionism, defying normal methods, by utilising a variety of tools such as sponges, rollers, combs, rakes and spoons to create a dynamic of movement and texture.

My paintings can be found both in Canada and the U.S.A. in private and public collections.”
